Audience Research

The majority of the particpants occupation were students and 2 of them were workers.
I also asked them what genre of comic they favoured the most giving them several options between romance, adventure/action, superheroes, fantasy and crime/detective. The most favoured was romance and the least was crime/detective. Majority of girls had chosen romance. I therefore will base my comic genre as romance.
i asked my paticipants what other selction of comics did they flavour and 50% of them suggested beano, 19% of them said simpson,25% of them said marvel whilst the other 6% said DC comics.
This pie chart show the portion of people who enjoy reading comics and having a twist in their comic reading, people who prefer speechbubbles to a more picture telling story and finally others who prefer a picture telling story rather than speechbubbles.
Most people prefered speechbubbles so on this point i will consider to contain more speechbubbles instead in my comic.
This bar graph shows the difference between males and females who took part of the survey, the majority of them was female.

This pie chart displays the portion of ages who took my part in my survey, the majority of the age was 15-16 years old.

Plans =)

I have decided that i am going to choose to do a japanese cult/manga comic production. The comic strip is going to be a romance genre based on a love story between two people. It is aimed at teenagers from the age of 14-18 to both males and females.
I have looked at a comic called *Chobits* which is quite an inspiring love story, which has given me an idea on what my plot will be in my comic.
In my production i will be including many of my own drawings and i will do a profile drawing for my main characters.
My plot is based on one female called Chii and a male called Zak who strangely fall in love but both are from different worlds of good and evil and because of this they are destined not to be together.
In my comic strip i will include different types of shots such as Close up shots, Points of view shots, mid shot and extreme close up shots to create a more realistic and more effective story telling.
